Changes

IMPORTANT: These may affect your calculations

1. Support for parsing JSON text with the _FmNx_JSON function. This complements the _FmNx_XPATH_query parsing function added in 3.0 for parsing XML. If you were previously using the _FmNx_JSON function in an interim version, the function ID has changed and you may need to reselect the function in your calculations.

2. All settings for REST operations are now set via _FmNxSetPref. To set a preference for a REST operation, simply add the server domain as the prefix. For example:

_FmNxSetPref ( "www.fmnexus.com:http_user=vincemenanno" )

3. The _FmNx_Load_WSDL_From_URL function is now treated like a REST function and supports settings like http_username and http_password via _FmNxSetPref. This allows you to access password-protected WSDL URLs.

4. Fix for a problem handling SOAP/WSDL operations that require SOAP header-based authentication.

5. Improved SSL support and support for client certificate authentication.

6. The format preference is deprecated, and the verbose preference now takes a path on both platforms.

7. Improved stability on Windows, and many other miscellaneous improvements.

8. When registered, this version requires a 3.x license key.

If you call the registration function without the correct license key, your WSDL functions will not load. For demo purposes you do not need to call the registration function. The demo will automatically expire after 1 hour. To continue testing after 1 hour, you must quit and relaunch FileMaker. Users with version 1 or 2 license keys can contact Beezwax at at 1 (888) 835-4484 or info@beezwax.net to request an equivalent version 3.x license key for free.

IMPORTANT: When registered, version 3.5 requires a 3.x license key. Do not install version 3.5 on a system registered with a version 1 or 2 license. If you call the registration function without the correct license key, the plug-in will not be fully functional. If you have previously purchased a version 1 or 2 license key, please contact us at at 1 (888) 835-4484 or info@beezwax.net to request an equivalent version 3.x license key for free.

System Requirements

FileMaker: FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Server 9, 10, or 11.

Mac: Mac OS X or Mac OS X Server version 10.4, 10.5, or 10.6 (Note that FileMaker 11 requires version 10.5 or later).

Windows: Windows XP, Vista, or 7; Windows Server 2003 or 2008.

Installing: FileMaker Pro

1. Quit FileMaker Pro.

2. Copy the Web Services Plug-In to your FileMaker application's Extensions folder.

3. Relaunch FileMaker Pro.
